Jamie Reads: Architecture as Philosophy
101 Things I Learned in Architecture School
by Matthew Frederick
I picked this up because I'm working on a character who is an architectural archivist, and it's absolutely fascinating. A quick, charming, philosophical read. Architecture as philosophy. An unexpected treasure.

Coming soon from Forbidden Fiction
The Wages of Sin
Short Story (7000 words)
Genre(s): GLBT, Science Fiction
In an America world where homosexuality is punishable by death, Jason Braverman lives a life of quiet desperation. Hiding his true nature, he grapples with the loss of his sexual freedom as he watches his beloved city patrolled by uniformed thugs and bombed to the ground by the U.S. Army. Until he meets Daniel, and he realizes sometimes liberation is worth paying the ultimate price. (M/M)This edgy, fantastical work is coming soon from Forbidden Fiction. The manuscript has had a troubled past. Although it has wowed some editors, the subject matter (dark, alternative politics) has been a little too heavy for most of the anthologies for which it has been considered. D.M. Atkins at Forbidden Fiction, who has been very encouraging of my work and just a pleasure to work with, decided to publish it.
More news about this project soon.

Happy Halloween
Does the smell of autumn make you want to reach for something spooky? Join me for a ride into horror, hilarity and things that go bump in the night.
A spooky, kooky comedic, erotic very adult version of Scooby Doo. Five pals and a dog investigate a haunted inn. (novella length)
My gruesome serial killer story "Hollow" is included in this excellent collection of LGBT horror fiction. (Not an erotic collection.)
Theo has a secret life he’s killing for ... This serial killer story will leave you hollow and horrified. Not for the squeamish.
"Siren Song" is a lyrical ghost story. A famous painter rents a mysterious house for the summer. Running away from his problems, his ex and his career he encounters twin muses whose siren song brings him more than he bargained for. A romantic, erotic story with a gothic twist.
"Billie Mae's Homemade Biscuits"
Flash fiction short about a psychic, a lawman, an escaped child killer and the best homemade biscuits in North Florida.
"Brotherly Love"
100 authors. 100 stories. 100 words each.
Be afraid.

In addition to my story, there are shorts by other great authors, including Jeff Mann, Hank Edwards, Rob Rosen, Shane Allison and many more.
